It all starts on the line. Both sides have seen improvement each week. If the coaches can improve the running game and help the youth see the errors of their ways in the secondary, I like our chances.

We still need to see more impact by the 2nd string LB’s I feel. The starters are playing to many snaps

Improve mainly on the run blocking and secondary to me those are the most important

In all seriousness, Milton is gimpy. When guys that can run have that element taken away from them, it can impact their overall game. He's not a very accurate downfield passer. Whereas they have been an explosive team in the past, they're not so much this year. It's a combination of Milton not being as good as Hooker and their WR room taking big hits, and the guys playing this year are no where near as good as the guys they had last year. Really like the matchup for us. We'll need to get the crowd out of it early.

They suck. We win. They could not do ANYTHING against the only halfway decent team they played (gaytors). We are putting the pieces together and getting better. They're working on their Halloween costumes. The +12.5 point spread is a joke, but I'm happy about it. I hope it goes higher. They've already won the game in their minds.

After watching the Miss State film you can bet Tenn will be going deep early and often.
Good time to bring out the deep throws to Harbor and see if TN has anybody who can keep up.
If nothing else, it will draw attention away from XL.

Tennessee ran the ball well against everyone so far except Florida. Can we contain the run? Not sure, but it will be key. On offense, if we can run the ball at all it will certainly help Rattler open it up. Agree revenge factor at home is huge. I wouldn’t bet money on it but Go Gamecocks. It is possible, but not likely.

I think play calling has to improve a bit. Our strength is the passing attack. We can't get hell bent on establishing a running game and taking the ball out of Rattlers hands. Set the run up through our passing game. Maybe a 60/40 split a little heavier on the pass.

With all the attention on this game because of last season do the Gamecocks have a chance to win?

Tennessee is last in the SEC in passing plays of 20 yards (9)

My guess is the plan will be very similar to what it was last year. No need to change it.

UT has posted some impressive defense stats......against UVA, Austin Peay, UF, & UTSA. UVA might be the worst P5 team in the nation. They haven't seen anything like what they're getting ready to see. Their DC, Tim Banks, probably hasn't slept much this week!

That's a big if. How does their crowd of Bubbas in orange stack up against ours? 😉
been there many times & sat down low where it’s loudest. Its very loud however not deafening like they’ve led everyone to believe. Really it’s not any louder than WB on a good night. But at WB, they’re cheering for the good guys. It’s going to be fun. I think we leave happy. 31-24 Cocks
