Much of this was pre-COVID and therefore pre-NIL.
Looks like the terms in Jimbo's were not nearly as severe as Pruit's.

Yeah. But Freeze was actually a pretty good coach. Pruitt was never getting a P5 head coaching job again even without this.
In other words, UT used a guy who’s now an NFL coach as their scapegoat, the NCAA handed it’s harshest penalties to said coach which no college has any desire to hire in the first place, and UT itself receives nothing of consequence
in today's NIL world that would have been a hell of a bargain.
