I pull for UT like I pull for Clemson. Never.
I'm not pulling for them, but I also find it hard to gloat when they had a better season than us.
Lol they won 1 extra series against southern miss. If that's "a whole heck of a lot farther" to you, I don't know what to say to you.
Making it to Omaha is making it to Omaha. And they had to win a much more difficult regional. We were literally gifted a regional win by the NCAA. No way around that.
So moral victories are great for other teams, but not for USC! Got it. And "gifted a regional"...Cant even be happy about a team that we all hate losing and getting nothing lol. I truly hate our fan base. Sure am glad I like the teams.
Liking the team and reality are two different things. There is always the good, the bad and the ugly!
Making it to Omaha is the objective. That's not a moral victory.
And what would you call us being a regional host when we weren't even in the top 25 with Central Connecticut, Campbell and NC State as our opponents? They might as well have just given us a bye to the supers.
You might consider picking another team the way you feel about the Gamecocks. Just saying. Go Cocks
We could win the NC and some people would make an excuse about how we were gifted it, lucked out, Good lordy.
You might not remember that Campbell was everyone's pick to win the Regional and challenge for the CWS. They were loaded with pitching and hitting, and the Cocks didn't stand much of a chance. But you keep on with the narrative that we were 'gifted" the Supers.
lol, we crapped the bed for an entire month, crapped the bed in the SECT, woke up for a couple games to crush mighty Campbell and then crapped the bed again in the Supers.
We were non-competitive for nearly 2 months of baseball until we landed against Campbell.
You remind me of one those fans rationalizing us losing or playing an unnecessarily close game against App State or Citadel or Wofford in football.
