Tennessee announces uniform combination for Saturday night's game against South Carolina
Tennessee football will be back in its 'Dark Mode' alternate uniform for Saturday night's game against South Carolina.
Not sure why we’re even making the trip. I was confident. Now that I see they’re in all black, we don’t stand a chance.![]()

We did the camo uni several years back. Thankfully that has been resigned, and not brought out again. Now that was a bad look, BAD.It’s awfully nice of Tennessee to honor us by wearing one of our colors.
Uniform color doesn’t matter. They wore their orange helmets last year and that didn’t work out so well for them.
It really is silly for all these teams that don’t have a shred of black in their school colors to wear black just to wear black, when schools like us, Iowa, Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, etc actuall have black as a school color. It would be like us deciding to wear all blue one game because blue is intimidating.
Yep. But camo also isn’t anyone’s school color that I am aware of. Also, that was a wounded warrior thing, so at least made some sense. But agree that I am glad we aren’t doing that anymore. I’m fine if a team wants to wear a special uniform or a throwback for some reason. But to wear black for blacks sake…it really doesn’t make any sense, especially to wear it against a team whose colors are garnet and black. We did the camo uni several years back. It's all about marketing, many schools have incorporated the black alternative uniform. While I lean towards your opinion of keeping the uni's to school colors, I'm not that bothered by it.Yep. [Pink tutus comment goes here]Who cares what color uniforms they wear?
Burial Uniforms - Let's destroy them and then bury 'emNot sure why we’re even making the trip. I was confident. Now that I see they’re in all black, we don’t stand a chance.
I doubt this is true. Uniforms has become such a big deal for a reason…people get into it. I’m sure if you spent time on many other sites you’d find they do the same thing. Even teams Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, etc have tinkered with their uniforms. Someone is clicking, reading, talking, purchasing for that to be the case.Any comments about any team's uniform choice coming from Carolina rings pretty hollow. We spend more time guessing and debating what uniform combo to wear for a game than any fan base in America. The top programs generally have a home and away uniform and that is pretty much it.

only because of the black unis. if not for that it would have been +15.We're +12.5 ??? For real?
UT covers. Fatty isn't losing this one. We're +12.5 ??? For real?
I liked the first cami unis. The second unis, if my memory serves me correctly, we wore out for warmups. We did not wear them in the game because the officials said they could not see the numbers. We did the camo uni several years back. Thankfully that has been resigned, and not brought out again. UTs offense has underwhelmed so far, at least compared to last year’s team. But our D took a licking against MSU this past week. We're +12.5 ??? For real?
Nah. I’m getting Quincy Carter vibes on this one.UT covers. Fatty isn't losing this one.
