Got thumped by Clemson in doubles. Down 1-0. First to 4 wins. Singles about to start.
We need to wake up.

Coming back. Cocks up 2-1 and leading in 3 of last 4 matches. Thanks for posting. I had forgotten we were playing.Won 1st set of 5 of 6 singles matches.
Jalani needs to pull out court 3. Tons of talent but doesn't appear confident in his game.3-2 good guys with #3 and #5 singles starting third sets.

They don't normally play it out once you get to 4 points. He's up 5-0 in the 3rd and final set. He may not be confident, but that's surely a confident position to be in for that match. On #5 Singles, Sean Daryabeigi is trailing 3-2 in the 3rd, but don't know if it's just on serve, so he's still in that one. If SC wins the #3 singles being so close to ending it, that would be the 4th win for the Gamecocks - would they play out #5 of just end it as being unnecessary??
edit: I see now the Clemson player is up 3-2 and on serve, so he has the break in #5.
5-1 now in the 3rd for #3.......
I watched most of Jelani's match prior to heading to the CLA. Very good server. Needs some work with his groundstrokes, particularly his back-hand.Gamecock freshman Jelani Sarr wins the 3rd set 6-2 to take the #3 match, and South Carolina beats Clemson 4-2! The #5 Singles match is still underway, but may be discontinued as no longer being relevant to the match.....
I watched Thomson warm up this morning. He looked great so I though he would be in the lineup today. He did have a sleeve on his leg. I didn't see the ice.Agree for the most part. Jelani’s forehead is a weapon at times. Backhand not superior but is functional and should only improve. We definitely need Thomson. I saw him with his knee/leg wrapped in ice so he is apparently recovering from injury
Doubles is really hurting right now. We need to start winning the doubles point
Great atmosphere today!
Thomson played doubles, but not singles. He and Samuel won at #1 dubs and USC won the doubles point for the first time this year.I watched Thomson warm up this morning. He looked great so I though he would be in the lineup today. He did have a sleeve on his leg. I didn't see the ice.
Yes, big difference with him in the lineup. He was icing after the match.Thomson played doubles, but not singles. He and Samuel won at #1 dubs and USC won the doubles point for the first time this year.
I was surprised alsoClemson match was definitely closer than I thought it would be. Thompson being out in doubles really messes up our chemistry there it seems. Was surprised to see Hoole lose at #2 also
More aggressive for sure. We looked as if we just rolled out of bed. We would have lost all three courts if they played it out. I never seen Toby look so lost and miss so many shots. Once Toby moved over to singles, he was a new man and flipped a switch. Maybe he was simply missing his partner.I was surprised also
Clemson seemed to be the more aggressive team in Doubles
Glad we pulled it out in singles
CT on crutches after his doubles match. He was in the lineup for singles but was scratched.
Toby coming back in the 2nd. All other courts won 1st set but court 6 and 2. In a 1st set Tie-breaker.Oh crap. Crutches is bad news.
