It's looking more likely there will not be a decision made at Destin.

Who really cares if it's 8 or 9 games? Really? It's not as if world peace hinges on whether the SEC plays 8 or 9 conference games. What does it really matter if you force UGA or Bama to play a 9th conference game? I can't believe there are dozens and dozens of articles being written about it.

The only way I think it brings any major impact is if the extra conference game means teams with ooc rivalry games drop those.

I still don't see why Texas and Texas a&m couldn't keep playing when a&m joined the sec. We do it with clemson. But with 9 conference games, I know some will question going to only two patsies a year plus clemson as an ooc schedule.

“Drop yo nut$”

Just kidding…it’s easy for me to say play 9 cause it’s more exciting than a game vs Ga St. But I am not the one getting beat up on the field each week.

It has not been that long ago when the SEC schools played 6 conference games. A ninth game is not good for us. I also think it hurts the college game as a whole by taking away many inter-conference games of great interest. i have to wonder how it might effect Notre Dame vs So Cal. Both USC and UCLA are going to greatly diminish games with west coast teams. That in turn will cause a loss of local interest.

Yep. Just last year you had Bama/Texas, LSU/FSU, UGA/Oregon, Auburn/PSU, Arkansas/Cincy, etc.

Those go away with a 9-game schedule. And, I agree, those matchups are far more beneficial to the college game than a 9th conference game would be.

Well, the B1G is already playing such OOC games and has more scheduled in the future and they already have a nine-game schedule. What about it?
