Going back and watching replays of the game, it's interesting to see all the plays within the plays. That catch by Adkins was huge to jump start our offense, but even bigger when you look at the detail of it. It was a great leaping one-handed grab, but look closer (as I'm sure most here already know) and there were two hands on the ball...his and the defender's.

At the moment of the catch, both guys had their hands on the ball. Looks like the defender could easily have jarred the ball loose.

A split second later, it looks even more improbable that the defender WOULDN'T knock the ball out.

I will bet a lot of you thought he was just a token, political appointee; filling an extra scholarship. I did. He has been a diamond in the rough. His Special Teams play has been good all year, but you can go unnoticed easily there.

Nate, if you are there. I am so happy to be dead wrong.

Will go down in Gamecock lore for this catch and while not as flashy, his overall game ... that catch and run down to the 1 yard line was very important ... I wish he would have scored (for his sake and at the time, for all of us fans) ... thank you, Mr. Adkins ... I also believe your blocking against TN was game changing as we had not consistently (from what I recall) shown that ... a true, team player ...

People were saying that about Patrick DiMarco when Spurrier signed him. Insinuated SOS only did it because he was friends with PGA golfer Chris DiMarco who is Patrick’s uncle. Remember it like it was yesterday.

And, lo and behold, Mr. DiMarco played several years in the NFL ....
