were much, much better players than some that were drafted.... bama's hendrix and Kentucky's Crawford. and ole crack Walter Sharpe drafted? Maybe the seattle team needs a hit....

Gotta say that I am glad that i am not a fan of the NBA.

I am sick of seeing International players and 1-year freshman make a mockery of the NBA. NBA will be babysitting those freshman.......except for a few of them.

And the International players? Why does the NBA not go ahead and setup a couple of interational cities to play?

The NBA was better this season than it has been since Jordan retired. There's a reason guys don't get drafted. Jamont isn't a pure point and he doesn't shoot the ball well enough to be a starting off-guard (at least not to me). He would have trouble guarding either position in the NBA, where you can't bump or put hands on offensive players on the perimeter.
The Chuckwagon is tough but undersized. He can't play the small forward position and he's gonna have a hard time with the better power forwards. If he were 2-3 inches taller he would've been drafted but that's how it goes. Crawford is a better scorer than Jamont. He may not make it but I guess they felt his shooting/scoring ability was worth taking a chance on. Hendrix is big, he plays hard and he rebounds at a high rate.

nothing much to add to that. I think Jamont's lack of shooting touch kept him from being drafted...you got to be able to hit the open jumper in the NBA

He can do everything else well, but there's just not much place in the NBA for a guard who can't shoot.

Something tells me Jamont's academic status wouldn't be a factor... IF he hasn't gone too far with the agent. According to Veazey's latest entry, we'll know that tomorrow for sure.

I for one, would love to have him back. He'd be a hands down favorite for SEC-POY.. and would give us much needed experience in the backcourt. The chemistry issue wouldn't be as big of a deal with a lot of the other guys filling in for Rhodes' production.

BUT, I'd say there's a 99% chance he'll be signing a free agent deal, taking a plane to europe, and/or stabbing Charles Grantham in the throat.

from your comment on Veazey's blog, or did you go here first? I don't feel like looking at the times. But seriously, they're two different games. Sort of like how Danny Weurrfel and Tommie Frazier were two of the best college quarterbacks of all time, and neither one of them didn't anything in the pros, hell, Frazier never even went to the NFL.

Coach is right. Jamont's jumpshot isn't good enough, and Rhodes is undersized.
