I checked twitter to see if there were any game updates. The official Big 33 twitter feed had two tweets right before the game, then one right after. No tweets about actual play (or which team won, etc.). Anyway - when checking for other updates I found an article from Penn Live from a couple days ago about DE Enai White dropping out of the game. The reason? Read on...

According to the release from an official with the Pa. High School Football Coaches Association, White was told by Texas A&M that his Name, Image and Likeness money would be withheld if he participated in the Memorial Day event.

White, who counted Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Clemson and Ohio State among his 43 offers, participated in four Big 33 practice sessions at State College last month.

Also, PennLive managed to mention five schools who offered White without mentioning Penn State.

I have been unable to find any stories about the game. Is there a news blackout? Terrible coverage.

Rocco’s son, Bobby did their businesses together. Bobby was one of the best wrestler at Gettysburg college ever he is in their HOF.

According to the release from an official with the Pa. High School Football Coaches Association, White was told by Texas A&M that his Name, Image and Likeness money would be withheld if he participated in the Memorial Day event.

I don't think it was posted online, but the Philadelphia Inquirer had an interview with White and his HS coach last week. It's primary focus was on the comments that Nick Saban made about the recruiting class at TAMU and NIL deals. A portion of it also dealt with White not participating in the Big 33 game. Here's what they reported about the Big 33 situation:

"Saban’s comments weren’t the only NIL-related topic that White had to dismiss. Last week, it was reported that White withdrew from playing in the Big 33 Football Classic in Harrisburg due to the risk of NIL money being withheld if he had participated.

White has been removed from the Big 33 roster and will no longer play, but he said he was forced to do so due to a scheduling conflict: He’s scheduled to leave for Texas A&M on May 29, and the Big 33 game is the following day.

“I really wanted to play in the Big 33,” White said. “The Big 33 is a great experience, not everybody can do it. I appreciate all the alumni that played in there, my host family that was assigned for me. I really wanted to do it, I just couldn’t due to me leaving for college.”

White took to Twitter after the report was released to dismiss its legitimacy.

“They’re saying stuff that I don’t even know what’s happening, so it’s shocking to me,” White said.

Said Imhotep head coach Devon Johnson, who’s an assistant coach on the Big 33 Classic’s Team Pennsylvania: “I don’t know how that report came out; it was 1,000% false. But Enai, in typical Enai fashion, just handed it gracefully like he always does, stayed above it, and didn’t let it get down on him.”

A Big 33 spokesman declined comment."

My guess is the report was more right than wrong. 🤷‍♂️
