NORTH CAROLINA: Steak 48 in Charlotte

As a North Carolinian, I'll allow it. Had a wonderful filet there. Always wondered what a $90.00 steak tasted like (on the company). It tasted like airbuttersteakiness.

I'm sticking with Texas de Brazil. Love the food, and a much better deal for the $ than a "regular" steakhouse.

I looked up James on Main, and it isn’t a steakhouse. From their online menu, they have a hanger steak. That’s the only steak I see. It may be very good, but don’t go there thinking it’s a steakhouse.

IDK the one listed in Charleston WV I've never heard of, and its not that big a town or far away. OTOH I've been to Jerry West steak house at the Greenbiar, I would find that hard to beat. The lobster mashed potatoes are wonderful!!!

We've eaten at Lost Fire in Kennebunkport. It's very good, not that there is a whole lot of competition among steak houses in Maine.

I thought the Bush's would grill for you and the Mrs. at their compound. Hopefully they picked up the tab for the evening out.

Bushes are big fans of Bennett's. Every so often we see members of their Secret Service detail in the store on a sandwich run.

I see they listed Balcony One in Virgin UT as the best in the State. I happened to stop there this summer driving from Hurricane to Kanab and thought the food was just OK. The prime rib I had at Amangiri in Canyon Point was much better and the ambiance exponentially superior.

I must admit that the best steak I ever ate was in Dallas.

Oh yeah. Two of the best steaks I've eaten, that I can still clearly remember, were eaten in Dallas. And I had to go through Dallas to get to Tulsa for the Gusher(s).

Indianapolis has many fine steak houses, but the best in my opinion is St. Elmo's.

Steakhouse 85

New Brunswick NJ

Top quality meat (Beef or Pork). Top quality service and the ambiance is fantastic. Way too expensive (at least in my opinion).

Nice to see the Precinct, a Jeff Ruby restaurant in Cincinnati, made the best in Ohio.

Having eaten at most of the best ones in the state, I’d agree. Though all Jeff Ruby’s places are interchangeable for the food, but the Precinct is a cool setting too. The Waterfront used to be my favorite.
