Tennessee’s coach sure turned things around in a hurry.

IIRC, the first year of the CFP - Ohio State was 16 in the first poll. They ended up winning the whole thing.

If PSU wins out they could be as high as 8 or 9 more like 10 or 11 though. Win out and go play UNC in the Orange Bowl.

Here’s some fun. If there were a 16 team playoff with no first round byes, PSU would have a rematch with OSU, but Illinois would face Tenn… a game Beilema might be able to win on a neutral site…which should be the locale for all playoff games.
