I am convinced they had no intention in voting in one 3 loss SEC team over another. I have no doubt it's the reason they had SMU climb up in the polls high enough at the end so that even a loss wouldn't hurt them. There was no way they were going to allow only one Big 12 and only one ACC school in. No way.

Final poll has us dropping a spot. Funny how the committee said it wont penalize a team for playing in a conference championship game but it sure does penalize teams that dont play in one.

CORRECT. And the committee is obsessed w northern teams hosting home games in the cold. They think thats the route to knocking Southern teams out. Tennessee got screwed by Ohio St being rewarded a home game
