The cycle of mediocracy needs to be broken

State fans are familiar with losing, that is part of who we are, but the thing is State always get skull dragged in the really important games, games that can raise the bar above mediocracy. We always play like a deer in the headlights, maybe it's in our DNA, don't know. Just play hard with energy and vigor, maybe the result will be different. At least the tone of Sunday's message board will be different, guaranteed.

Be careful saying that you’d like to raise the programs expectations. We have have a lot in our fan base who will just yell at you for “expecting too much” and say “this is the way it is” or “better get use to it”. Meanwhile, OM will just continue to pump out 9 and 10 win seasons and play for access bowls. It’s going to really hurt in two years when they are competing for the 12 team playoff and we are deciding whether we are are going to Memphis or Nashville for our bowl game
