The Florence folks are excited that we finally offered Sellers

Offered QB LaNorris Sellers over the weekend. Currently a Syracuse commit. I have some friends who live in Florence and they've talking Sellers up for a long time. They are very excited that we finally offered him. It seems unlikely he'll flip because Syracuse is really making him a priority. Babers flew down to meet him personally. I don't think Beamer's been up there. Sellers is taking an unofficial up to the Syracuse to see them play ND (already took his official). He was apparently here for the GA State game. He said he may try to get down here for another game, depending on his dad's work schedule. So sounds like he'll work us in if he's not too busy.

I don't know much about the kid, but if it took us this long to offer him, our coaches are obviously not very high on him. Maybe they should be, I don't know.

Oh god, lets hope our coaches did not miss out on him like Holtz missed out another Florence football player QBDarian Durrant...he started at UNC as a freshman and broke a lot of their records at the time....

He was a late bloomer. My brother and I teach at the middle school that adjoins SF and my brother taught LaNorris. Says he was a great kid. Very respectful and never a discipline issue, but in 8th grade he was a tall skinny bean pole. LaNorris has come a long way since then and from what I was told is a phenomenal athlete and can really throw a football with accuracy.

I guess we had a lot of coaches at the game, presumable to see Sellers. Not sure if Beamer was there or not. A friend of mine coach Sellers in middle school and said he's firm to Syracuse. I think they've offered his brother.

I cannot confirm, but saw some Freddie Solomon type stats posted for the HS Championship game.
