The Good, the bad and the ugly:

The Good:
- Rocket is the real deal and can catch coming out of the backfield, an NFL talent who manufactures yards
- We have receivers who were getting very good separation all game
- We have the talent to run an effective option offense
- Our DE’s both have very quick first steps and a nose for TFL, Stewart’s top end is scary good
- Defense as a whole is more talented and playing faster than last year.
- Coaches used the portal effectively and hit on several upgrades
- We have a reliable FG kicker
- The overall talent of most position groups have been upgraded with the glaring exception of QB
- We won the turnover battle
- We won a game that we probably should have lost

The Bad:
- The offensive game plan did not effectively take advantage of our strengths and more importantly did nothing to mask our weaknesses
- The Oline is a work in progress with talent that plays inconsistently
- Defense gave up two huge chunk plays both for TDs
- QB struggled with the forward passlocating open receivers and decision making given down and distance
- Receivers and TE had key drops

- We were out coached significantly, ODU got a lot more out of their players.

We get out coached virtually every game.

Our QB can't read the defense and definitely can't spot a blitz.

Loggains' weaknesses will be exposed by Sellers this year. Loggains had an NFL QB to work with last year - one who won the backup role in his first pre-season. We'll see if Loggains can actually scheme to take advantage of our strengths and exploit the other teams' weaknesses. So far he's 0-1 (even though we won). Box score.
