"Needless to say, if Greg Byrne doesn't take Ron Polk's recommendation and decides to hire someone outside of the Ron Polk family, the dominance of MSU baseball will never return."
First of all, the phrase "needless to say" pretty much insures that this was a phrase used at the tail end of an argument in which KB21 believes he has clearly made his point. The point he appears to be arguing in favor of is that only Ron Polk or a member of his coaching family (I assume coaching because KB opposes Cohen, a former player) can be successful here. This point flies in the face of all other evidence we have since we know two things: 1) other coaches at other schools have been just as successful as Polk if not moreso and 2) MSU is traditionally one of the strongest programs in the nation, being home to one of the most dedicated fanbases, a huge support base (which encompases more than just the fanbase), and top tier facilities. Surely if #1 is true at some schools with lesser fanbases, support bases, and facilities, then logic says that hiring someone outside the Polk family could lead to a period of equal or greater dominance than Polk's heyday. Needless to say, KB21's statement is wrong in every sense of the word.
