These comparisons make zero sense. Jackie took over a miserable program and went 7-5 in year 1 with a huge win over Texas. Mullen took over a miserable program and went 5-7, but with a big season ending win in the egg bowl.

Lebby took over a bad team and managed to somehow make them worse while chalking up a 2-10 record.

If you don’t think fans should be upset over this, you do you, but comparing this football season to the beginning of the JWS and Mullen eras is a terrible comparison

I don’t think so, it was a trend. leach had a 9-4 team with 8 home games. He would have won 9-10 games in 2023. That would be back to back 9+ win seasons.

3-4 year rebuild? I missed that "sales" meeting. Mullen's years are not outliers - just better coaching and player recruiting.

I would believe this if I hadn’t seen other teams (especially OM) still pull in kids despite being beaten down and on probation. It’s going to come down to how well Lebby can sell kids on his vision and culture. It can be done. They just need to get their asses in high gear starting today.
