All I know with every Hurrican Hunter run, and accompanying update... Gus is missing his marks..to the east.. over and over.
If gus doesn't hit Nola head on, he might drift as far to the ms/la state line. Moving North too fast for the prediction models.
He looks rugged right now, but is about to start getting his **** back together.

6ft waves 280nm south of Southwest Pass LA; now at 14 feet; now at 16 ft
8ft waves 60nm south of Dauphin Island; now at 19 feet ; now 27 ft (buoy 22 nm south southeast of biloxi is now at 6 feet in wave heigth)
9ft waves 100nm south of Pensacoal Beach; now at 21 feet; now at 25 feet

wish i were back in pcola to surf right now (ealier today....i wouldnt be out there right now)

He checked into a hotel in Biloxi last week. Not sure if he is still there. If I was him and wanted to get into the brunt of where the strongest winds were going to be, I would go to Morgan City or Lafayette.
