I don't know jack about the turning radius of a 747, but some of those turns seem really tight. Pretty cool.

Safest commercial jet in the world. Another victim to emissions/fuel economy reasons, I believe. If you're a documentary nerd and haven't seen the expose doc on Netflix about the 737 safety coverups at Boeing, I recommend it.

Turn radius is a function of bank angle and airspeed and nothing else.

The lines on that map are for the borders of the state of Washington, which is more than 300 miles wide. Those turns aren't tight at all.

Atlas Air will probably use it for air freight. I don't believe Boeing has been configuring any 747s for passengers in a while.
