I shall not give Gamecock football a single thought until Saturday, Sept. 7.
Honestly, if we weren't already, I believe we are now firmly entrenched as a basketball school, and right now just a WBB school. Football and baseball are miles away from being relevant in national prominence and I don't really see that changing soon. We will know about men's basketball next year. Some like WBB some don't but football, baseball, and MBB are the top 3 for me, in that order, that hasn't changed and I just don't feel a lot of enthusiasm in those, at least football and baseball.
WBB is not done yet winning NC’s….mark it. Dawn is far from over, I would think she has another 5-10 years at peak. At the very least she will be FF in plenty of years to come. And to think, she might rightfully have 5 NC’s right now…hell, she might just be getting started. She just passed Tanner for National Championships, and her winning percentage is already no.1 at SC. Is she the greatest to ever coach at USC? No question. The deed is done.
