Does anyone else go to Rivals for the Wrestling Room? Quite a bit more activity and chatter. If paying for mostly wrestling would need to flip to other site.

Yes. I don't owe loyalty to either site. I like Tom's commentary here but Brand X also has some good posters. They were more active during the NCAA's.

Definitely need thicker skin if you intend to post there. Several posters lacking people skills can make it tough on anyone. Threads occasionally hijacked by lonely people for non-wrestling chat. But there is a lot of great high school, college and international commentary and insight from some very knowledgeable people beneath all that so its worth it IMO.

What are you paying for? Both wrestling forums are free. I flip back and forth. Like others said, more chatter over there and more active during events, but I like the quality of content here better and the threads are less likely to go off topic.

I have a rivals account set to expire and ON3 cheap trial. Didn’t realize WRs were free being always had subscriptions for other forums.

When I was a kid, my Grandpop and I would sit on the front porch for hours. We would listen to the Phillies games or just talk. He said he loved watching all the action from the porch with cars and people going by, some even coming up to talk.
Tom McAndrew’s posts are a big draw, especially the newspapers stories. I hope this board succeeds but for me when I come home or am at work, I want to watch the action. And for now it’s on the other board.

Now Nittany Nation… Rivals.com

But still has the bwi url and it still comes at the top of most internet searches for blue white illustrated, which is a source of confusion. Makes one wonder what exactly on3 paid for when they bought bwi.

That being said, there is a lot less bull crap on this forum which is why I come here a lot more than I do the old one.

I liked the wrestling forums because they were laser focused on the subject. The other site is morphing into the exact sort of nonsense I want to avoid.
