Perfect representation of the current state of Miami.

I've been thinking about this lately. They want this upstanding image of academic integrity but still want to be good at football. Most programs only have one 'niche' that allows them to succeed at something such as that. Miami's was the U image, I think we can all agree. But nowadays, where that type of image pretty much doesn't really exist anymore, coupled with the fact that Miami now plays so far away at a pro stadium (which is almost ALWAYS a bad decision for a college program), I just don't see that mystique returning. Cristobal might get them back to being good but they won't ever be the U. I see type Stanford type success for them.

I think it may be over for them, barring a wholesale change. Things are just different now. I don't think kids today are as hard as they used to be back then, even in the ones from rough areas.
