Assuming this is different than the other deal I’ve heard about? Do we have competing NIL things out there?

A lot of schools have multiple NIL collectives.

This one is ran by a company (Yoke Gaming) for football players only. They take approximately 20% from the contributions. Other groups of football players using this company are Minnesota, Auburn and Ole Miss.

The schools are going to have to just start paying the players directly. This is ridiculous & inefficient (but very good for the middle men).

I find it ironic that so many players have for years thought of themselves as “rented mules” for their respective school, but will quickly sign up for a moneyhandling company called “Yoke”.

They can’t NOW. If the SEC & Big 10 decide to cut out the middleman & pay players directly, that’s what will happen. Either by changing the NCAA rules or creating a new entity.
