Of course, I‘m fair-skinned. So even the sun hates me. 😞
It was a mediocre sun. Sure, every day it comes up, but every day, it also goes down. In other places, the sun never sets. If you're happy with the sun just coming up, and going down, every day, then you're just a nancy. I, on the other hand, want a winner! I demands it! I am not at all entertained by a sun that comes up, only to go down. I need a winner to make me happy!

LOL. If you don’t care about winning, why bother? I’m buying you a shirt (and mug!) that just says ‘Yay College Football!!’.
Probably because watching teams compete is entertaining ... and since I'm not actually involved in the gameplay, the win or the loss really doesn't affect or matter to me? If the team goes 0-11 or 11-0, my life goes on the same. If the team wins every game, and wins by 50, I'm bored while watching ... but if the team goes 0-11, and loses every game by 1 point in a down to the wire nail-biter, I'm more entertained ... and afterward, my life is unaffected?

Awesome. Is everyone like you? That would be boring, right? Complacency is a luxury. Enjoy!

So, if you have a season of 50-0 wins ... undefeated ... what does that do for you? You're suddenly something more than you are, because a team you cheered on won bigly? What void did it fill in your life to root for the super awesomest ... and then point out ... "hey, that's the team that I cheer on, so, boom goes the dynamite, you other cheerer-oners!" Vicarious domination for the win? I'd be bored watching all those games. Apparently, however, watching competitive games is "complacent." Hopefully you get your sprinkles, and maybe you'll allow your kids to get some, too, when they disappoint you out there on the competitive battlefield of 4 year old soccer by not bringing home the hardware.

There is only thrill in victory if you care about defeat. Such as it is, half this fan base doesn’t care. Ah well. The good news about 4 year old soccer is everyone gets a trophy - you’d love it. 🤙

I’m much better with the ladies when PSU wins. Bigly.

I've been through it, sport. Played college sports. My kids are on track to play in college, too.

It's sad that you need to attach that false dilemma to enjoying watching a sport you have no involvement in. The good news is, I've watched all the "you must win" douchebag parents through the years ... and they celebrated their 9 YO trophies. And now my kids are just so much better than their kids, because we focused on the development and the competition, not the ultimate result. If you're a "just win, baby!" fan or parent, you've already lost.

And they're the ones actually competing. It applies 1 million times over to the long-lost souls who hang their happiness and contentment on whether or not some unrelated group of people win or lose a game.

Anybody else get burnt yesterday? I always made sure to sit on the West Side when I had tix but yesterday I went with a friend who sits in EH. It was brutal and very uncomfortable. My face is red and I'm not a fair skinned person.

Valiant effort @Midnighter. We will never be able to understand the genius that this guy is.
I know, right? It's so hard to understand that this is entertainment, and folks can easily be satisfied watching a competitive game. It's so much easier to understand that you get no satisfaction at all from watching others play a sport, if those other people don't win the championship ... because, somehow, that championship validates you (or something). Otherwise, all their efforts, and your efforts, are for nothing.

The sun moves ... it orbits around the center of the galaxy ... and the universe is expanding, so it's moving via that physical phenomenon, as well.
Hey dumb dumb, thanks for checking in. I thought you might comment on my post a few weeks ago predicting we would get crushed by Michigan and OSU.

Oh, and since the entire solar system is in fact expanding at a constant rate, relative to the earth, the sun is not moving.

I didn't remember you, or your apparent awful prediction enough to mock you about it. Wait ... were you the dodo bird who "knew" we'd get wrecked by OSU because they trounced the vaunted Wisky Badgers from start to finish? LOL. Yeah, that was you. Nice job, dingbat. Oh, and you didn't even predict getting crushed by Michigan - just OSU (which didn't happen). You also said "this team sucks" when we were losing to Purdue (right before we beat them), and then tried to pretend you didn't really mean that.

And now you don't understand that the sun is moving in two distinct ways. Psst ... the solar system is not, in fact, expanding. The universe is. Solar systems aren't expanding, due to gravitational forces keeping them together. Dude. Stop.

You poor thing.

My satisfaction comes from putting you on the Ignore list. You and Notre Dame should start a relationship - both self-righteous and think they know/are everything.

Your response is nonsensical (and ... psst ... I hate Notre Dame, too). It's OK to not live and die with every win or loss by a team that you root for. It's just a game. It's just some team of guys that decided to go to the same school you went to (if you went to PSU). As a player, you play each game to win ... but if you don't, does the world end? Is your life and your happiness somehow tied to your success on the field? Maybe at the highest levels there's something to that, since you're making money off said success. But as a fan? I mean, all you're doing is cheering these guys on. If they lose ... does it really affect you? Should it? If PSU won 10 consecutive Nattys, what would that do for you? You'd be able to say "oh yeah, well, the team I support wins all the time, and you're all a bunch of stinky buttface losers" to supporters of other programs. And then what?

Read the room dicklicker... Nobody likes you here. You make insanely stupid points, you double down on your stupid points, and just basically embarrass yourself.

I am reading the room dicklicker right now, in responding to you. Commas are your friend. They may be your only friend, at that. Don't ignore them. You could have just admitted you were wrong ... about everything ... instead of throwing this tantrum and calling yourself the room dicklicker. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
