It's like Croom was trying to prove to the fans what we aren't good at doing. Of course, I want a more wide open offense with a little more imagination but not at the expense of an L. And that is something that is unforgiveable.

Like I said before the season started, below .500, he should be fired. That's 4 out of 5 seasons of suckitude.

I know everyone was glad that we opened up the offense, but when your best offensive weapon is avg. 6 ypc, give him the ball until they stop him and Ducre'. Again this is why I think playcalling is our problem more than the offense we run. If Msu had a decent OC, we win by more than 20 last nite. McCorvey nor Croom know how to call a game and they prove that 12 out of 12 ballgames a year.

I will say, if this suckitude of a football team doesn't rebound and make a bowl game and no changes are made in the off season (amd I'm talking new OC, new DC and new special teams coach), needless to say I won't be renewing my season tickets. While our home games next year will be very appealing, what's the point if we are going to lose them all...

What was so wrong with our defense to say our DC should be replaced?

the lined up and ran the ball on us the last 18 minutes of the game when they had to? They controlled the game and the clock, driving to kick 2 FG's and basically put the game out of reach.

Think about it- a freaking mid-level WAC team lined up and pushed us around the 4th quarter to win the game....

they didn`t do that last year.
I don't think it was that they quit, they just worn down at the end. If you look at the whole night, our defense was pretty good. It wasn't last years defense, but it was still pretty strong.

Dixon averaged 5 yards per carry but only got the ball 3 times in the last 25 minutes of the game. Why would you put the game in the hands of your QBs when you can't even decide which one of them should be playing?

and people can dog Dixon for dancing all they want, but that guy got almost every yard he gained last night on his own.

The dumb part of it is.....he didn't have to do it last night. I could understand if we were a couple of games into the season and trying to show a new look in a game we had nothing to lose.

I think it was more of he knows the offense sucked last year and he wanted to try to do something about it. Problem is, we are back to 2004 with what he is trying to do. It took Tulane, Vandy, and Maine kicking our *** before he decided to stop throwing sideways and ride Norwood that year. I imagine it won't be until after Auburn and Ga Tech whips our tail that the light bulb goes off again.

and we did nothing to stop it. No adjustments. We KNEW they were going to run, and they had constistantly been having success, and we kept lining up in that damn 4-3 and dropping everybody.

He danced a little, but for the most part he ran the ball well. And a couple of his best runs were avoiding two safeties late in the first half. He only got a yard on those two carries, but most backs would have been tackled in the end zone on both of them.

I like Delmon Robinson a lot. But other than those two spots, there's really nothing good that came out of this game.

Marcus Washington trying to jump that 12 yard stop and go on 3rd and 20 was so predictable it was sad.

a very average team but still managed to screw up with turnovers and mental breakdowns in the 2nd half.

i'd say he looked like the best WR of the Crooms Era, but that was just one game

.....say otherwise when you look at the schedule this year and what we had returning. I realize we lost a few key players, but not to the extent that we shouldn't still win 7 games. If what we lost makes THAT much of an impact, then we can't realistically ever expect to have a winning season more than once every 4 years or so. It's just not an excuse.

If it weren't for that damned contract extenison, I'd feel good about the possibility that Byrne would fire some folks after this season if it turns out bad. Unfortunately I don't think it'll happen. I think it'll take yet another bad season in 2009 to seal the deal.

J Smith in last year's Arkansas game.

The WR's as a group looked better today than at any time in the Croom era. And frankly, so did the QBs. I can live with the 3 INT's in one game, although I'd like for that not to be the trend. The death nail for this game was special teams - fielding and kicking the ball.

What I don't understand is unecessary QB controversy that Croom has "started". If you can call playing a QB who's clearly worse than the other a "controversy" if course. The last thing a struggling offense needs is a two QB system.
