Its all about the money.this is not good for UK and I predict it won’t be good for the SEC. I read a good article in the last week about seeding for playoffs. The writer states that though they will say that strength of schedule will be considered, the practice of making losses more damning than who you lose tp. The SEC is the strongest league from top to bottom but half the teams will incur another loss and they all won’t be the bottom half of the league. Couple the jealousy and outright hatred of the SEC with the regionalism of selectors and the result will not be to our benefit. The elimination of divisions also hurt us as long as the East schools were down.
Yeah,...you cna't just do another cupcake....SEC needs to revisit this rule. 9 game SEC slate is plenty enough and to boot...why give notoreity to schools that want to knock you off and chant SEC mocking.....just play your own, 3 cupcakes and go to playoffs and let that be your path.^ Have to pick up another P4 team then. How about IU?
No, that isn’t the order of the schedule3 road games to end every season?
Every P4 conference does or will have this rule. It's to get the max number of teams into the playoffs by thru higher power ratings. That the weak get hurt isn't a concern.Yeah,...you cna't just do another cupcake....SEC needs to revisit this rule. 9 game SEC slate is plenty enough and to boot...why give notoreity to schools that want to knock you off and chant SEC mocking.....just play your own, 3 cupcakes and go to playoffs and let that be your path.
Both Mitch & Stoops whined against the rule because they're not interested in making the playoffs, just in looking better down the road with more wins of any kind on paper.I’m looking forward to this. More games against high level opponents, if Stoops isn’t excited about this he needs to leave. We need a coach that wants to play good teams week in and week out. Not someone who wants to play a bunch of cupcakes and try to eek out 6 or 7 wins.
Agreed, at the end of the day this is entertainment. Some of our administrators don’t realize that. I’d bet a lot of our fans don’t find beating teams like Eastern Michigan and going to the toilet bowl entertaining. Both Mitch & Stoops whined against the rule because they're not interested in making the playoffs, just in looking better down the road with more wins of any kind on paper.

Exactly. I don't know what that guy is smoking, but getting your head kicked in every game isn't very entertaining. And that's what we're facing. Stoops or no Stoops. With that schedule, I'm not sure anyone is coaching Kentucky to success. It's hard times.Definitely do not care about toilet bowls.
It's not entertaining either never having a chance to win anything that matters due to the wild west of NIL and unfair budgets between various schools.
UK is pretty much done for unless there is some type of fair cap put into place to spread the wealth n talented players. Don't see it happening
Congress would have to act & I think could to semi-assure some of your spread the wealth.Definitely do not care about toilet bowls.
