And it's a shame. These games are fantastic and other countries fans travel. Baseball stadiums won't be this packed until the MLB playoffs and it's top notch ball for those who love the game. It's the FIFA World Cup of baseball. Am I the only one watching these games?

You mean “fans” who haven’t yet opted to “immigrate” ?

You need to take this up with the Native Americans. I have direct ancestors that were born in the US in 1786. When did your ilk arrive?

Three (3) years after the War of Independence concluded?🤷🏼‍♂️

Kudos to you and family if that makes you feel special. 👍

Your 4ss is here because of my family fighting. Now you b!tch because you don't like who's immigrating. That's rich.

Do you have evidence that your genealogical family was actually here fighting?

They could have conveniently sailed over post-war and procreated.

Let's talk about your genealogy. When did your decendants arrive?

Earliest could find came from Cambridge just before the Revolutionary War. Then I followed them from Virginia to West Virginia to Pennsylvania following work.

Also, in California this week and baseball is massive here. Sort of shocking. It’s Padres fever everywhere. Also, nearly every white adult male I’ve seen wears a flat rimmed baseball hat, khakis, flannel, and Chuck’s. It’s also frowned upon to order potato.

It's great to hear that there's a buzz out there besides the Dodgers. The game needs it.

The immigrant talk hits a nerve. We are all immigrants in the US.*

I've been watching just about every game. I've loved it.
Same. It is unfortunate to see Diaz go down, I hope it is not as bad as it looked. If it is a serious injury I'm afraid this could be the end of teams allowing their stars to participate in the WBC. I heard that the Tigers said yesterday they are only allowing Cabrera to get 1 AB per game and will not allow Rodriguez to pitch any more games. Seems like they should have decided that before the WBC.

What happened last night wasn't even a game injury. It could have happened if he was stepping off of a curb. Those in the sport have been worrying for years that the youth aren't interested in baseball. These WBC stadiums are packed and the atmosphere is as electric as a World Series game. The best players need to play in these games to keep the sport alive and interesting for our youth. The MLB teams are being very short sighted by restricting who can play when.

As a Phillies fan, I’m so upset. Let me tell ya. Haha.

But nah, seriously, that does suck to see. That game was very entertaining last night. The crowd. The atmosphere. The momentum runs. The celebration was justified, so that was a bummer.

If every MLB game was like that, baseball wouldn’t have nearly the issues it does.

Braves fan here and it tears me up. Almost as much as Albies missing half the season with a broken foot only to come back and break his finger right before the 2022 playoffs. 😏

What a championship game tonight. The ending was fantastic!

Wish I could have watched some of this. Just no time with the kids and spring break. Happy Japan won though (and that the US was the other finalist) - we used to go to Hiroshima Carp games when we lived there and the excitement and fandom around baseball in Japan is just awesome.

Also, Ms. BWI Who's the Hottest? contestant Tsukasa Aoi was in attendance in Japan…

It was a nice show. Please, no more excessive home-plate celebrations.
