...never been inside before. Had a nice crowd of Bulldog fans. Had my 7 year old twin girls with me, so even if they were serving John Barleycorn, I couldn't have partaken (unless one of the girls could learn to drive). Very impressed with Greg Byrnes and John Cohen both.

Also, JC reads the sixpack. He made a comment about how everyone says how much taller Byrnes is than him....saw that post earlier today.

very boisterous. You could feel how bad State fans want to win again in baseball. You could also sense the extreme appreciation for Bryne. His ovation was huge.

I think even I underestimated how ready state fans are to win in baseball.

Folks realize that Greg wants to compete in the SEC and isnt going to use obstacles such budget constraints and scholarship limitations as excuses as to why MSU cant compete........i wonder how many people signed up for pre-season tickets today after the press conference.....i really think he is goig to try and grow the budget and the giving fan base

Cleveland asked him about the scholarship limitations and whether he had an instate scholarship in KY. Cohen started to explain and then stopped and said "You really don't want me to go down this road...there are challenges but the bottom line is you have to find guys that want to be at State and then you figure out the financial stuff later."

Im sure Cleveland is positioning himself for an article about how Cohen doesn't realize what a challenge he is facing and how we really didn't appreciate what polk did.

It was very similar....which was surprising since so many said the Cohen hire was supposed to "divide the fanbase"

was if he liked pinstrip uniforms, he thought about the question, then said that would make a good online poll for the fans to choose

Ron Polk took care of the "divide the fan base" problem for us Friday afternoon. He lost all credibility with even his strongest supporters.</p>
