Was digging through some old boxes and ran across some ticket stubs from events I attended. The 1979 National Championship game PSU vs Alabama for $10. The 1987 National Championship between PSU and Miami for $70. Bruce Springsteen 1980 concert for $10.50. The Rolling Stones in 1981 for $17.25 and the Who in 1983 for $17.10.

PSU tickets during that 86 season were $15. If you want to go to the WVU game, you'll have to add a zero and then maybe double that number. I've been in the Dallas area for work this week and 2 weeks ago and thought about trying to find a way to get to a Stars playoff game but woof, those prices are just not worth it for a non-clinch game between two teams I'm indifferent about.

We had a similar discussion. Our tix in bjc to see Bruce in March one section from the stage and 6 rows from the floor were around $300 each. We just saw him again in Rome, Italy and our tix were 159 euro each. 🤷‍♂️

In 1972 a large pizza was $2.50 (8 slices)

A slice was .40 and a small coke was .25.

Building rent on that business was $350 a month.

Today the same pizza is $17.50 and the rent is north of $2750 per month.

Candy bars used to be a nickel, but it's not 1958 anymore.

I believe when I bought student tickets for the 94 season that they were $11 apiece.

Heck, get club seats-much cheaper than this and very accessible bathrooms and no peeing in a trough.. View is not as great as on 50 yard line but many seats are covered and lounge is really nice and you can warm up on a cold day!!
