How about a little respect for the reigning Vezina winner and 1st ballot hall-of-famer!??

A soon as he earns an Olympic Gold Medal; maybe!

Again, he will let you down just like an elavator in the playoffs sir. And you know that!!

What GM would keep the Bi Polar Goalie that likes to talk talk talk to the reporters and analyze his entire team's play after every game?
Say what? Flower is a well-known class act and one of the most popular players in the locker room. And one of the greatest goalies of all time and still going strong at age 37.

And most times in the playoffs, he was the very best player, FOR THE OTHER TEAM!

I assume he was talking about Lehner.

In hindsight, the Pens kept the wrong goalie. Murray and Jack Johnson! from Fleury's salary savings is still haunting the franchise.

Flower is still the most popular player in Vegas and one of the most popular (only behind Mario and Sid) in Pgh. Excellence is recognized by sophisticated hockey fans who are used to winning.
Here's a last-5 game intelligent statistic:

Fleury has posted a .898 save percentage over his last five starts, and has registered a 3.39 GAA during that stretch.

Yah, I'm going to have to disagree on that one. Fleury >>> Jack Johnson + Murray (or any goalie). Say it with me, Fleury's savings in salary were used to sign Jack Johnson.

I understand sir.

But please review his playoff history with the Pens. Many, many times he was shell-shocked and pulled during playoff games or did not even start due to his very poor performance. Hence his departure from the Pens.

Ahhh no…he is one of the winningest goalies of all time…in the regular season and playoffs…still going strong while Murray is in the beer league. Just because you don’t like him, does not mean he is not one great goaltender…an all-timer.

Just played yet another fabulous game and won on the road…#3 all-time winningest goalie and closing fast on #2. Patrick Roy - Flower is coming for you!

Jack Johnson ruined Murray and probably cost the Pens at least one cup. Even setting aside Jack Johnson's disastrous play, his contract is even worse. The Pens have a lot of important players that need new contracts and the Pens will have dead cap space from Jack Johnson's buyout until 2026.
