I’m sure he did retire over NIL. Not out of self righteousness, though. Only because the money was leveled and he didn't want to have to recruit every player every year.

It's been downhill at Alabama since production of the Dodge Challenger and Charger was stopped last December.

No wonder Saban feels like he can no longer compete.

Dear "Friends of the program": it was fun while it lasted, enjoy the sweet memories. Be prepared to lose 2-3 regular season games a year. It's going to be a tough adjustment.
