I literally watched Carolina barely beat Old Dominion, crush UK in a great 6 minutes of football, barely lose to LSU, destroy Akron with Robby Ashford at QB. I was in Europe for the next three games but then we proceeded to shut out A&M in the second half, make Vandy look like Vandy, win a thriller at home against Mizzou, sweat for a half against Wofford and then wrap it up with a LaNorris Sellers signature run at Clemson. After hearing all the whining about us getting screwed by the Playoff Football Committee, we finished with a dud in the Cheez-It bowl. Still many memorable moments for sure.

Very good season. Hopefully we end up in the Top 20, which might be our ceiling forever. But not sure.

If Beamer was serious about getting win number 10 he would have kicked the field goal instead of faking it.
You are assuming we would have made it which we already know was not a given this year. No one wants to talk about it but we have a few games we could have one with very makeable field goals.

I agree with you. When easy points are available, take them. That being said, there were no such things as easy points with the 2024 field goal kicker. It was just about a coin flip every time. I'm very thankful for his big field goal that was made in Pickens County, though!

Then it was a success for him
He didn't look like a man experiencing success in the postgame. He looked like a whimpering puppy, almost succumbing to tears at one point. This boy still has a lot of growing up to do - as a coach, I mean.

I've come to the conclusion that Shane is something of an emotional head case.

Well, he's emotional - let's just put it that way. It helps him in relating to people but not with respect to composure. Good decision-making depends, among other things, on composure.
