Just saw the news report linked below on the Comcast home page. I don't recall the name Jon Vaughn, but the linked report says Vaughn played running back for the Wolverines from 1988 through 1990. And that he claims to have been given fifty (50) prostate exams by Robert Anderson, as well as a similar number of "testicular cancer screenings." ("Don't forget the stepchildren," indeed.)

Vaughn's anger and distress about this has, according to this article, prompted him to park his "small blue and white camper outside the home of the University of Michigan president since early October." Vaughn says that "it [i.e., the van] won't be moving anytime soon." Given that the UM President at the time Vaughn began his protest (Mark Schlissel) has been fired for sex harassment issues of his own, I am not sure whether Vaughn has had to move his van to the home of the new interim UM President, Mary Sue Coleman, or whether the job of UM President comes with an on campus home. In either event, this is sure to draw continued interest.

I remember Vaughn. I was a big Michigan fan when I lived abroad (in HS) because they were on AFN TV a lot. Shame about this but good for him.

It's all good. He saw the error of his ways and repented once he got to State College.

LOL. Well, I was born in PA and all my family is from there. But, I didn't go to school there until 4th grade. Was in Hawaii and Parris Island before that, and North Carolina after. Then back to PA for a bit (I was able to watch the '86 National Championship game which was probably the first time I ever watched college football - was a big Steelers fan in those days), then to Japan, then back to PA. Really got into Penn State my senior year of HS then no looking back after that. I didn't grow up in a Penn State household (neither parent went to college, none of my relatives went to Penn State) but I did like the logo so my mom would get me Penn State shirts and stuff to wear when I was little even though I didn't know much about them. I remember my cousin camping at PSU one year and told me he got to meet 'JoePa' and I was like - who?
