Team fought hard, didn't quit. Made some runs, I thought perhaps they'd make it close in the last couple min.

A couple observations:
Liddell didn't kill us. We doubled him often, which contributed, but he moved the ball around well.
Seems everyone hits threes on us. That #25 had 4 or 5 of them himself (thought he was more of a post player?)
Sessoms was held in check, couldn't get to the hoop much.
Harrar had a really strong 2nd half with pts and boards. (Broken record moment coming...) But we really need more presence inside. White wasn't particularly effective in any aspect.
We didn't hit enough threes to stay with OSU. OSU certainly has more talent overall.

It's truly about the Jimmies and Joes and we don't have them. Shrews has to light up the Portal until things stabilize. I'm looking at Fall, 2027.

His '22 recruiting class is pretty good, we will have to see how '23 goes, sophomores and freshmen with some decent transfers in '23-'24 could surprise.

The biggest issue I see is our inability to score ā€œeasyā€ baskets. We arenā€™t a great three point shooting team so teams can sag off a bit on us, and we generate almost nothing in transition due to our inability to create turnovers (or even block shots). It means we end up working for everything at the offensive end.

Weā€™ll likely have a few nights where we get hot from outside and steal a game or two, but Iā€™m definitely expecting to see us playing on Wednesday at the Big Ten Tourney.

We get a little stagnant on offense at times and end up having to throw up a contested shot as the shot clock expires or try to force a pass as the shot clock winds down. These possessions are killing isā€¦..turn a few more of them into solid possessions with good ball movement and better looks and we might be able to give a few teams trouble in a given night.
