A week ago, Brian Hadad and Robbie Faulk agreed you couldn’t say the first SEC series of the year could be called season-defining. After a non-competitive sweep at the hands of Kentucky, Mississippi State’s season might be on the brink as they welcome the Vanderbilt Commodores to Dudy Noble Field. The guys look at this match up and ask what the Bulldogs must do if they want to rescue a season that seems to be slipping away.

Weather may have an impact. Looks like tonight's game is increasingly showing chances of strong storms now entering the 7 pm hour. Earlier it wasn't to start until 9 pm. Good chance this game may have to be finished tomorrow before starting the normally scheduled game. And yes, I felt KY was a total unknown even though their record was good. However, Vandy, after stomping a mudhole in Ole Miss, is quite the known. This series will certainly tell us where we stand.

He can pitch tonight with his right arm and finish the game tomorrow with his left.

Seriously doubt he will be able to do that as he pitches with either arm the batter declares with. So he should have a roughly equal number of pitches with both arms during tonight's game. Say 45 pitches with each arm which would rule him out for the rest of the weekend. However, it will depend on how many left and right hand batters Vandy presents. It's possible he could have more pitches with one arm than the other arm. Thus, having a litte bit unused.

I was joking but we are desperate.
