If we lose to LSU, all of this may be moot. But they still have to somehow put 68 teams in this thing, so while a loss will feel like a killer, there are several other teams who probably feel the same way right about now.

With that disclaimer....here's what to pull for today

Minnesota over Michigan State
(Spartans will still probably get in, but this would make it less certain)

Wake and Pitt
Ohio State and Iowa
(Double bubble games. Losers are probably done. Winners still have more work to do.)

Creighton over Providence
Ole Miss over Texas A&M
Marquette over Nova
Seton Hall over St. John's
Boston College over Virginia
Boise State over New Mexico
Utah over Colorado
(A loss here will have these teams sweating on Sunday)

And of course the bid stealers list needs to keep dwindling

Always great to have shot at beating LSU, but (DEAD INJUNS) we will probably be on the outside looking in or, if we are damn lucky, doing the play in dance.

The A-10 may steal a bid. St. Joe (9 seed) beat Richmond (1seed) and will play VCU (5 seed) in the semifinal.

As of this morning, Lunardi only had 2 teams from the A-10 making the tournament, Richmond (12 seed) and Dayton (8 seed).

Best case scenario would be Dayton winning the tournament. They will most likely face Loyola-Chicago in the semifinals

If St Joe or VCU win the tournament, they may just replace Richmond.

ETA: St Bonaventure (7seed) came back and beat Loyola Chicago (2 seed) in double overtime. Need Dayton to beat Duquesne tonight and win the tournament.

I have a feeling FAU is going to lose in the next three days and a bid will be stolen.

Dayton also lost tonight, so the A-10 might steal a bid. But I bet the bid that gets stolen is Richmond’s and the A-10 will still get two teams in (Dayton and conference tourney champ)

A-10 is a definite bid stealer with Dayton’s loss. The American is a strong candidate to steal another. Bubble teams need FAU to win three games this weekend.

Maybe semantics, but the A-10 isn’t really “stealing a bid”. They are just getting the original number expected (2). Whoever wins the tournament is getting Richmond’s bid, who was previously barely in as a 12 seed. They are stealing the bid from themselves, pretty much.

I call it a stolen bid when the team that earns the automatic bid would otherwise not have received an at-large bid AND one or more teams that don’t win the conference tournament earn an at-large bid (Dayton).

The remaining NET rankings in the A-10 tournament are 71, 82, 85, and 89.
