Big stop there to hold them to 3. Have to stop their run game and capitalize on any Milton misfires.
This is a good offensive team. I’m not defending this defense. They aren’t very good. It is what it is.
Do not understand why Beamer did not go outside to hire a good OL coach.
He was the worst in the nfl and now we hire him like hes gonna turn it around. How does he keep getting hired, making hundreds of thousands of dollars while losing the whole time?
We need need better players, graduated 3 starters off last years team and we are not talented on the O-line. Good recruits coming next year but that’s no help now. Vince Lombardi couldn’t turn this years line into players. Lack of talent overall. So some of you say, “coach around” that weakness, call better plays. Really? Plays don’t work if you can’t block them.
Back to the original thread point. The defense is very average, certainly not good. Lost a lot up front from last year. We can’t generate pressure consistently so our d-backs get toasted. Need better players. This won’t be fixed this year. We are an average team this year and the SEC East is above average and better. We are not winning many more games this year, end of story.
I wish they were average. You’re being kind with “not good”. The D is awful.
I think you are confusing OL with OC? Lonnie Teasley was only an OL assistant in the NFL for 2 seasons. Most of his work was with very small schools before joining our staff as an analyst.
He’s done a terrible job replacing Adkins this season. Our OL is trash.
This is true. I do feel like we have a massive talent upgrade underway. But still feel like we should be better.
Don't know what to think of this but our top three tacklers last night were DB. Half of out tackles last night were made by three DB's.
