Time to go with Ashford?

Incredibly surprised to even be thinking this, but Sellers just looks way overwhelmed so far. Maybe it would be wise to go with Ashford and just try to bring Sellers along as the season develops. I don’t know. He just looks shellshocked so against a Sunbelt team.

On the other hand, Sellers supposedly won the quarterback competition, which means Ashford must be awful.

Don’t think I’ve seen a quarterback start this bad since Beecher.

He’s had several open receivers and has overthrown them badly or thrown it in the dirt.

Going to be a long year- irritating watching softness. our ends are crashing right into the backfield and should lay into the FB but they go high and get pushed aside- it is as if we avoid contact- Stewart will be special. everything else is Carolina Football.

Simkins getting pushed around. OLine is pedestrian, again.

Sorta makes you wonder what Juice Wells knew and why he didn't want to play with Sellers.

Definitely should have put Ashford in at some point in the 2nd quarter for a series to let Sellers collect himself.

Sellers is 8/20 for 99 yards. I'm truly surprised and disappointed for him, but this is horrendous.

Sellers has had some open receivers and missed them terribly badly.
Yep. He’s afraid to pull the trigger. Maybe slow processing? Definitely relied on his mobility too much. Can’t afford another game like that. Beamer appears committed to him though.

Hopefully we look back on this one day and laugh because of how it turns out. I just can’t imagine Sellers will become a good college QB after what I just witnessed.

Too many people bought into the "Sellers is going to be great" myth based on one pass last season in a game where Sellers had zero pressure to perform.

He doesn't look like he can handle the pressure and the mental part of the position.

IDK man. I mean he seems to be the only running threat. I really don't see him as any long term answer at QB. But I doubt we have any other answers on the roster. The OL won't play better for another guy.

Well, we wanted a better run game, and we got that. Problem is you have to have balance and our pass game stinks. UGA abandoned the run in the 3 quarter and ran well in the 4th quarter once the game was over. The game plan to run so much was crap and yes, Sellers missed reads when guys were open. Did you see what Vandy did today? I don’t see us winning a conference game. It’s a long season and we will get better , but the offense is limited and just bad. Defense has studs but they will be worn out by halftime and get torched in the 2nd half of games. This will be as bad as Muschamp’s last year, maybe worse. I hope I’m wrong
