How is Marioo Bobo good enough for the Browns, but not good enough to play for us next year? Didn't he have a year of eligibility left? I thought he was one of the guys like Littlejohn that Croom made "student/coaches".
That combined with the fact Johnson won't be with us next season at corner makes it an even bigger head scratcher. I think Bobo was a better cover man than anyone else we had at cornerback. His freshmen year he was ahead of Dockery and Heard on the depth chart.</p>
I've heard some things about Johnson. If the grand jury clears him of the charges, then croom will let him back on the team in the spring (09). That just all rest on that Johnson will not transfer somewhere or just fade into obscurity. When I was asking this person, I only asked about Johnson so maybe the same holds true regarding for the other three. But AJ would be my only concern.

Do they make a signing bonus? How much is it? I assume that is all they get unless they make the team?
I can't think of a single player JWS ever kicked off the team. Maybe that guy who kidnapped his girlfriend.

disciplinary issues with Bobo. I know he was involved with the Josh McNeil fight a few years ago, and was almost kicked off the team then when Fred Akines was kicked off. And I suspect something else happened this past year. Bobo alluded to it in an article. I am guessing that Croom just let bygones be bygones and got him off the team without embarrassing him so as to give the kid a chance to make something out of himself.
