Ingredients
Couple habanero peppers, seeded and chopped
Couple cerrano peppers, seeded and chopped
Couple jalepeno peppers, seeded and chopped
1.5 - 2 cups soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
4 cloves garlic, chopped
2 scallions, chopped
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
2 fresh lime juice
2 fresh orange juice
3 pounds chicken wings

Combine the peppers, soy sauce, honey, both sugars, fennel seeds, cayenne, allspice, thyme, ginger, garlic and scallions in a blender. Add the vinegar, lime juice and orange juice and blend until smooth. Place the wings in a large resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal and refrigerate 4 to 6 hours.

Remove the wings and put the marinade in a pot and reduce by 1/4.

Put wings on direct heat to sear. Then remove to in-direct heat and baste with marinade about every 5-7 mins.

My dads wings are my fave. Simple too. Fried and then tossed in a homemade Buffalo sauce with blackened swordfish seasoning.

Wings done indoors in the oven coated in a marinade, made with just a mix of dried spices and some hot sauce and honey, and sweet potato fries. I keep the wings on the mild side and s
Serve the celery with blue cheese dressing and some carrots as well. Guinness as needed.

My technique is to bake the wings on an oven rack which elevates them from the cookie sheet and let’s the air circulate underneath while baking. This allows them to get crispy without having to fry in oil, or use an air fryer. If it’s nice outdoors, I may go to plan B and grill them.

I already have my brunch fixens - marble bagel, lox, cream cheese, tomato, and cucumber. Italian espresso and grapefruit half. I might pick up some liver knishes at Moishe and Itzy’s for a pregame snack to eat with some hot mustard and a beer, or a Bloody Mary with plenty olives and celery, or or I may do a megmosa - Prosecco in the grapefruit juice, depending on the weather.

It’s all about pacing yourself and maybe squeezing in a mid afternoon nap. I’ll just graze throughout the day and hope it’s a good game. I have a mild rooting interest in the Bengals.

I’ve already watched Barbara Streisand singing the Budweiser Next Super Bowl commercial, and as I suspected there is no mention of how this rice infused “beer” tastes. It’s is just a bunch of young people I have nothing in common with going to whatever is next in their lives with a can in their hands. I’m sure it will draw a lot of attention though which is really the point. It’s produced very avant- guard, meaning no bear bellies. But I’d rather watch Snoop Dog on the beach delivering Corona to his friends - I like the vibe and the robe! Chanel? And I like all the Coors Lite real people commercials - the chick taking off her bra, and two team mascots celebrating downtime with a can of Coors Lite. There are my kind of people and I’d hang out and buy them a good real cold beer anytime. Rant is over.
I hope everyone enjoys their foods, drinks responsibly, cheers on their teams, wins some money If gambling is your thing, and has a great Sunday. Enjoy the food, the beverages of all kinds, the hype,the halftime show, the commercials, and most of all the football game. I hope your team wins and we have an exciting game with few injuries, few pass interference or other game changing calls, and few stoppages of play. Let’s just play hard nosed clean football and May the best team win, and let’s not let a fan get attacked in the parking lot after the game this week. It’s not a good look.

1 lb crab meat
brick of Philly cream cheese
some sour cream
white sharp cheddar
horsradise
milk to make creamy
combine
heat 350 for 30-40 minutes
top with more cheddar
serve with something to dip it with, toast points, fresh bread etc. imo avoid Fritos scoops etc. this is too good on its own.
