Why run an up tempo offense if your defense is that terrible?

This is not to criticize Lebby or his offense. I'm sure he believes his offense works better when the snaps come rapidly, and he knows his offense way better than me.

But wouldn't it be nice to keep our defense off the field as much as possible?

The SEC refs were keeping us from running up tempo last week. It didn’t look like we were subbing in so I don’t know why they were holding us up. You cant change the tempo of your offense because the DL coach was sitting on his @SS the last 2 years and not recruiting.

Because no matter what we do that defense is going to suck and it's got to be about the offense until we get defensive players.

Part of Lebby’s offense is not allowing defenses to audible.

Offense can’t suffer because it takes defense almost 3 qtrs to make an adjustment

For one thing we can't run the ball. Apparently the only thing we can do is the post route

To be fair, Mullen ‘kinda’ pulled off the quick strike stuff from 2013-2015, albeit slower than what Lebby wants to do.

But I agree, doesn’t seem like Lebby planned much for defense. Just decided to run his offense and see what happened.

Contrary to popular belief, Leach did modify his offense to pair with our defense during his time. He was definitely more slow moving than he was at Wazzou and Texh.
