for next season. See front page of ESPN.com. He projects Hardy and Oher as 1st rounders. Looking at his list, either this guy loves the SEC or the conference is going to be extremely loaded next year.

There is a lot of talent in the SEC but no way we dominate the first round like that. I don't see any way Tebow turns into a Top 10 pick unless he vastly improves as a passer this season.

Oher is probably a projected 1st rounder considering he was considered a 1st-2nd rounder if he came out this year. Hardy I don't know about - he's just as likely to get kicked off the team. A lot of the other SEC guys I simply don't know enough about.

I know Stafford is good, but Top 5 good? That might be stretching it but I really haven't seem him play a ton.

game translates to the pros, but statistically there is not much more he can do to improve his passing. He led the conference in completion percentage, pass efficiency (by a long shot) and TD/Int ratio.

I saw a mock 09 with DP picked in the mid 20s.

DP will be a mid to late 1st rounder. He has everything needed to be an NFL saftey. Speed, Attack playing style, Size, tackling ability, playmaker...

i'm not sure he's gonna be the next joe montana, but as far as the sec and college goes, there isn't really much more tebow can do to prove his passing skills. go check out last years passing stats.

If by "vastly improve" you mean go from being the #2 QB in the nation in pass efficiency to being #1, then I guess he does need to "vastly improve".

Christ, I wonder if some of you folks even watch sports on tv.

but as far as Stafford goes, Kiper has said he's the best QB prospect he's seen since John Elway. That's pretty high praise. Stafford is damn good.

In this case I don't think stats tell the whole story.

I didn't watch Florida a lot but when I watched almost everything he threw was a quick hitch, WR screen or something very very safe to Harvin that most coaches would agree were very high percentage passes.

In the bit I watched he was not super-impressive on 10+ yard throws.

Maybe I'm wrong

Its not the 10 yard throws the NFL is worried about.....dude has pretty strong arm and can make all the NFL throws....he is hard to project in the NFL (see si.com draft projections 09....they didnt include him in it...assumed he stayed in school/hard to project)....now although he will be a first round pick, he wont be able ot run like he did last year in the NFL....

As far as Stafford ( i think he will be)
Steve Young say: there will be no franchise qb's in 2009 Draft Class

his mechanics aren't great, including his footwork. Some of the throws me makes now, he won't be able to get away with in the pros.
