I was in HS American History class, discussing the Lincoln assassination when someone wheeled a TV into the room, and we spent the est of the class watching the coverage.

I disagree with your comment. I wrote pretty extensively on the 50th anniversary and the 55th anniversary of JFK's assassination. In addition, I've posted about it a few other times on the anniversary. There are historical events that are commemorated every single day. I look at lists of them most days, and pick and choose from among them what I think is worth a mention. With the exception of July 4th, and the Declaration of Independence, there isn't any event that I post about every single year on its anniversary.

I do appreciate you posting about it, and enjoyed reading many of the responses. It remains the saddest event in US history in my lifetime.

Perhaps you can come up with a killer historical, fact-laden thread on say Dec. 7th??

I'll be waiting sir!

Terrific new documentary on Showtime this weekend. New info that further leads you to believe in a Conspiracy.
