One more Steeler loss will make it Tomlin's first losing season. Interesting that it's his first year without Ben Roethlisberger at QB.

Trubisky threw his 3rd interception and they were still in the game. So instead of running the ball, which was working in the first half, they completely abandoned it. This OC sucks.

Well....Tomlin hired him.

Pickett put in concussion protocol, yanked. How many concussions has Pickett had?

Yeah, I’m pretty sure that Canada is strictly a Tomlin hire and not the Rooneys. If Mitch doesn’t throw too bad interceptions inside the 30, Pittsburgh probably comes away with six points. You can see why he was the first round draft pick as he makes some fantastic throws like the drop in the bucket to Johnson, but he just has too many force throws where he doesn’t see the second defender like on all three of his interceptions.

"Canada formed a relationship with Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin when he recruited Tomlin’s son, Dino Tomlin, to play wide receiver at Maryland."

I'm not sure what this is but fire Canada!

@bbrown

It will be interesting to see what The Steelers do. I hope they aren't putting too much stock in getting above .500. The teams they played at the end were horrible and at least 2 were down their starting QB's.
I thought Pickett showed some moxie but I'm not sold on him as a franchise QB.

Pickett isn't going to be Mahomes, but he looks like he could be much better than average.

Canada needs to go. Too many other teams were laughing at their play-calling. Canada can go and coach at NA or Central Catholic or IUP, but he's not an NFL-caliber coach. Hopefully Tomlin gets the message on this.

Completely agree. Next year's schedule looks interesting. As teams are constructed at this moment, the road opponents don't look overly challenging. The Texans, Colts and Raiders will be breaking in new QB's, and who knows what the QB situation will be with the Rams; and Ravens for that matter.

+1. Lots of QB questions for some teams.
Its funny listening to sports radio here in Bmore. They are all wondering how much of a difference Lamar Jackson will make this week if he plays.
Hmmm did they land a bunch of WRs that I don't know about? Because Jackson is not the problem with that offense.

It eats me up inside to see Devin White ride around on his horses and win Superbowls while we have this bum just wasting our time and money. White could have been a legendary Steeler, but we got this michigan loser/loafer instead.

Those linebacker stats are embarrassing and one of the main reasons I fall asleep during Steelers games now.

Yeah, what a S sandwich seeing him go down week 1. That's not Tomlin's fault, but they're always so thin due to these fragile, expensive superstars. You see teams like buffalo, miami, and tenn constantly having this stout no-name defense and wonder why it's so hard for the Steelers to have a decent defensive roster.

I was going to say Matt Canada's offense puts me to sleep but I can understand yours as well.

Watt is a human eraser that can win games himself and often does looking at the record. The problem is when you're playing inside linebackers that should be 2nd and 3rd stringers when he goes down or needs a breather teams immediately take advantage of them. They need help at ILB immediately, but not by taking the Jaguars LB trash like they did the past couple of years.

That's part of it too. A whole team approach to boring the hell out of me. This is a huge improvement for me because the anger and embarrassment are now gone. I'm much happier now.

Me watching the Steelers in their 6th season without a playoff win or any hope of getting one, or any realistic hope of future glory:

I thought Myles Jack would be better, but there's a reason he's not playing for JAX.

This surprised me. There's guys with a ton of 2022 playing time on this list.

"The restricted free agents-to-be (listed alphabetically) are center J.C. Hassenauer, running back Jeremy McNichols, cornerback James Pierre, and wide receiver Steven Sims. The unrestricted free agents (listed alphabetically) are inside linebacker Marcus Allen, nose tackle Tyson Alualu, wide receiver Miles Boykin, inside linebacker Devin Bush, tackle Jesse Davis, safety Terrell Edmunds, tight end Zach Gentry, safety Karl Joseph, safety Damontae Kazee, wide receiver Anthony Miller, defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi, outside linebacker Malik Reed, quarterback Mason Rudolph, tackle Trent Scott, running back Benny Snell Jr., inside linebacker Robert Spillane, cornerback Cam Sutton, fullback Derek Watt, and defensive lineman Chris Wormley."
