Somehow managed to end up with his 16th straight non losing season. With the personnel on this Steeler team, may be his best coaching job. Especially with the handicap of Canada as OC.

He rediscovered a good running game helps the defense immensely.

Just a reminder that Canada is a handicap of Tomlin’s own making. Let’s hope Tomlin makes the same decision with Canada as he appears to have made with Kendrick Green and Devin Bush . . .

Agree, said the exact same thing today. Missing the layoff doesn’t bother me too much. Early season I was pretty sure I wanted to tank the season and finally get a draft pick, but I’d rather keep the winning culture and see what next season brings, especially if we can keep TJ healthy.

I think Najee's injury to begin the season was a huge reason. He finally got healthy the past few weeks and they played 💩 teams the past many weeks.

Just good enough to prevent the kind of rebuild the Steelers would benefit from, IMO.

But you can’t argue with playing to win. We’ll see how much this benefits or costs them in a year or two.
That trade for Claypool to the Bears is now the 33rd pick in the draft. That's almost as good as 2 first round picks along with getting rid of a team cancer.

Would Steelers fans feel better about next year by ending the year 9-8 or by having a top ten draft pick they could use on a tackle or D linemen?

If they want to trade into the top 10 I think they can trade both of these picks and get there. I don't think they will, but it's an option.

The OL started to gel halfway through the season. They went from a liability to, well, not a liability. Of course, it helps that they were playing the Browns.
Browns and Ravens down the stretch were two good matchups for Stillers. Next to Miami two of the worst teams in the AFC down the stretch.

We played crap teams in the second half. I could give two farts about Tomlins non-losing seasons. The standard is the standard and he has fallen short the past 12 years or so.
Maybe if he had played Allar........

And there should be major punishment for the on-field celebration yesterday. As much as I like the Steelers and respect Tomlin's ability to keep a team playing hard to the end the team has never been buttoned up enough to be a serious contender, even when they were quarterbacked by a Hall of Fame QB these past 12-13 years.

Agreed. Wasted a ton of talent. I’m not a fan. We continue to wallow in mediocrity
