Bigger question is how many of the 25 will qualify.

From the "For What it's Worth" department:

All 4 MSU commits (excluding Boyd who isn't ranked by Yancey yet) are ranked LOWER by Yancey than by Rivals. All 3 Ole Miss commits are ranked HIGHER by Yancey than by Rivals. Do you think Yancey is catering to his audience?

I know a lot of you griped about "the plan", but the irony is, if you do well in state, you're probably going to be benefited by what used to be Orgeron's plan.

Football - FSU because that school is our *****. Would like to see us play a Big Ten team too, probably Meechigan if we were competent on offense.

Basketball - Duke

Baseball - Miami

I like somebody else's idea to play North Carolina across the board.

I noticed that the rivals list they put up yesterday had left the 'MSU' off by his name. I think we get either Patterson or Bumpis, as well as Dontae Skinner and Thames. And call me crazy, but I hear that Garrett's recruitment might not be done???

has apparently put on 15 lbs this year and now is at 6-5 and 200+. I believe the biggest knock on him all along was that people said he needed to put on some weight. At that height he could probably still stand a couple more pounds, but 15 is a good start. I was always skeptical of the "he's better than Garrett" argument, because nobody really said that until Garrett decommitted and he committed, but I'm really starting to be impressed by what I've read. 6-5. Sheesh. When was the last time MSU had a QB like that?

There were just as many people on here saying Garrett was overrated and Russell was better WHILE Garrett was committed us.

I haven't watched a HS game in 5 years. My opinions are based upon what I read on the interwebs.

Because I thought the general consensus, on this board anyway, has always been that Russell was the top QB in the state this year. We were glad to have Garrett when he was committed to us (and I'd be glad to take him back if he changes his mind again), but the one most of us really wanted all along was Russell.

play ONE game last year, so here is my expert analysis.

He better hope he has a "great" OL in front of him because he does not have the "escapability" (I like that word) that he would require at MSU. It looked like he had ankle weights on trying to move around in the pocket. When he was given time, he looked All-Pro. When not given time, he ended up like this.

I honestly think this may have played "some" part in his decision to choose LSU. If I'm right in my analysis, then he knows it too.

I don't know if he or Russell is the better QB...what I do know is that Russell is better (by far) than anthying else we've gotten the past fill in the blank years.

In this state, you'd better have a hell of a plan to get recruits eligible.
