Question for those in the know. Does South Carolina lead the nation in outgoing transfers mainly because:
1) Beamer is purposefully trying to upgrade talent to avoid another losing season and is thus is culling players that are toxic in the locker room or are not good enough to help the Gamecocks get to a winning record by encouraging them to enter the portal.
2) Players are unhappy because they are losing faith in the staff and their ability to win championships or else think other schools will give them more NIL money or playing time.

Lead? Where are you getting that stat? Overall, especially considering what a disappointing season we had, we aren't doing that bad. There are plenty of programs, blue bloods included, that have way more transfers out than us. This include 4 and 5 star starters at programs with lots more NIL than us. We have lost a few players that I'm sure the staff would have liked to keep. Others probably needed to move on. I think the same can be said of most programs. Fans need to embrace the new reality. Most rosters will be flipped annually so don't get too attached to the names on the back.

I just checked and it is true South Carolina doesn't have the most outgoing transfers. Purdue, Cincinnati, and Indiana have more outgoing transfers but no SEC teams or highly ranked teams have more out-going transfers. I do not consider 18 outgoing a disaster but we still have to get depth and talent to fill out the roster. Hopefully, Beamer can find the 5-6 additional players needed to upgrade the Gamecocks and get back to winning.

Honestly, its #1 for the fans of any team. And #2 for all other teams.
