Fact check me if you think I’m wrong, shame me if this is common knowledge, but….

In the last 50 years of NFL drafts, Mississippi State has had two quarterbacks selected who played a snap in an NFL game. One is Dak. Name the other one.

Edit: correction… there are three. Missed Don Smith because he wasn’t listed as QB on the list I looked at.

Did Tommy Stevens ever play? I know he was drafted by the Saints. Maybe got in a game during the COVID season?

Bruce Threadgill. Drafted as a DB, but played in 1 game as an emergency QB. Career passing stats: 0-2 with 2 interceptions.

This is what I was looking for. Drafted as a QB, which I’d forgotten, then got in for some rushes with Carolina in one game a couple years later

Steven’s still playing in Canada as the running QB for Calgary Stampeders. From the few parts of games I’ve seen him, he’s a real threat running the ball.

Tommy was injury prone to say the least but he could play when healthy. That first game and a half before he hurt his shoulder against USM was pretty dang impressive. He never really got back to that level afterward but there was definitely some talent there.

Might have been Tommy Pharr from the late 1960’s. Can’t remember for sure.
