i'd say that weatherford and moore made good decisions, but turner? i wonder if he was told by cohen to go ahead and hit the road. surely, as depleted as we will be next year, he would have tried to keep him around. turner had a lot more to gain by playing another year. maybe his comments burned some bridges.

if hogue leaves too, that really might hurt. if so, then this whole depussification theory will have some merit. i'm all about it, but i'd like to see us win some games next year.

He also had alot to lose.

If you think about it, this may be his only chance to make it as a pro. If he would have come back and went another year with injuries, then his stock drops and he may not have gotten drafted again. I don't think it had anything to do with Cohen. I think it was just Turner doing what's best for himself. His stock was still high because of his RS Freshman year and he just cashed in.

People need to go ahead and accept that. We are going to have a similar type of season as LSU during Manieri's first year. We will be lucky to make it to Hoover and a regional. Year 2 is when headway will be made.

we might could make a regional if injuries are minimized. we'll find out pretty quick if cohen and company can coach. we definitely have to have a couple of new guys to contribute on the mound.

it doesn't look like we'll hve any new faces in the lineup as of right now, given who was signed and redshirted.

You can thank Polk for that- he told them to transfer if they didn't hire Raffo. I don't really think we will have a whole lot of players transfer because of the new rules- unless our players want to go to North Alabama vs. putting up with Cohen for a year or two. So, if any of them get drafted, that gives them an out and a way to "respect Polk's wishes".

I hope Russ Sneed, any pitchers from Tupelo, Jet Butler, and Ryan Duffy leave at a minimum.

tend to take on the attitude of their coach. Sneed and the rest may have looked like quitters because that's how they were coached. I say to give them a chance to prove themselves. Plus, we won't have a true Cohen recruting class on the field until the 2010 season, thus we might as well hope that he can light a fire under those we have.
