For those that go through Berwick or live there Tuzzi’s is a gem. Tgar grabs a couple of sheets when he is driving through ( broccoli and plain, both reheat really well. ).

On the other side of town is the Reading food market which is an outlet for Hazle Brand hams from Hazleton, also the best.

Don't forget Dalo's bakery on the north side of Berwick. Fresh rolls, buns and all types of breads to make the perfect hoagies or whatever sandwich you want for a tailgate. Scicchitano's Pizzeria also makes a great perogie Pizza which is as close to perfect, next to when Tuzzi's offer a perogie pizza during the Lenten season each Spring.

When I was a kid, we went to Stuccio's pizza. If I recall, the owner opened it later in the afternoon because he worked another job. He had a vat for tomato sauce above the height of the ovens (although not directly above them) and he would put the sauce on the pizza using a garden hose (try that nowadays). Never did figure out how he got the sauce in the vat, but I do recall there was a laddr leaned against the wall. He had one of those ice boxes for drinks and would advertise Fresca.

Last time I was there was October 1969. Still remember it fondly. Not sure if it is in the same place as then. But I do know it is still in Berwick.
